ST ANNES KITE FESTIVAL 2014 – 26th July

The festival will feature single line kites of all shapes and sizes, including a massive 30 metre long inflatable Octopus, flying cows, dogs and even hippos. Plus 2-line and 4-line stunt kites. New this year is Oscar the world’s largest teddy bstannes_kite_festivalear.

Bring your teddy bear to take part in the teddy parachute drop sponsored by Storytellers Inc Book Shop. Each brave teddy will receive a very special certificate of achievement. During the weekend there will be lots of entertainment for “kids of all ages” including market stalls and face painting.

On Saturday we have a sandcastle building competition for adults and children. On Sunday there is live music from the World Wise Samba Band.
Weather permitting, the event promises a thrilling and thoroughly enjoyable day out for young and old alike. So pack a picnic, gather together family and friends, and head down to St Annes beach from 11.00am to 5.00pm for All The Fun of The Air!

Visitors will enjoy six vibrant, immersive and interactive zones …. you are invited to an audience with the Dragon Emperor as part of The Mysteries of China, discover decades of history and heritage within The Blackpool Experience, explore our solar system and the vastness of space in The Planetarium, who will you meet on a larger-than-life journey through The Land of the Giants, move among the sharks, sea creatures and sunken treasure ships of The Deep and gaze upon amazing landmarks including a 45 feet high replica of Blackpool Tower and much more in The Wonders of the World.
